Do Indoor Leagues require me to wear a mask during league play? Yes, as of October 2, going into Holiday Season 2020 and beyond, all Indoor Leagues will require masks be worn at all times. This includes during league play as well as on the bench, bathrooms, timeouts, before/after the game, etc.
If I am medically cleared to not wear a mask, will I be excempt from the rule? Unfortunately, it is in our rental agreement with various facilities that all of our players must wear masks. If you are unable to wear one for any reason you will not be able to play in Indoor Leagues, however you may still sign up for any and all Outdoor Leagues!
What's up with the personal questions asking about my private information when setting up my account?
First and foremost, you can opt out of these questions, so you don't have to answer anything you're not comfortable with. If you are nice enough to answer them for us, we use this data as a snapshot glimpse of our entire player's demographic info. From there, we can better understand what new sports we can offer, what new mobile app we should be working on, and what sponsors are best to take on in this club. For example, if everyone was making a six figure salary, it is assumed that a deal from "Quick n' Loans" isn't something that may interest you. Another example, let's say that 90% of you are renting apartments, it tells us 2 things. First, we may want to get apartment deals for our players and, second, we should focus on advertising for new players at apartments rather than residence mailers. Visa versa, if 90% of you own a home, then you probably don't want to hear about apartment deals, but rather lawn cutting or snow plowing deals instead. So, by answering these questions, it helps us tremendously with the direction of SSC. As always, all your data is safe with us, as we never share or sell your personal data to 3rd parties. Not even our mothers have access to this data. Cheers!
I'm pregnant, can I still play?
We strive to make every effort to keep each and every player safe while playing in our leagues. With the understanding that we cannot completely control other players, teams, and/or certain situations during league play, the responsibility and liability falls on the individual player who is pregnant when making the choice to join one of our leagues. Any player joining our leagues are participating under their own free will and will be allowed to do so at their own risk. We are not medical professionals and therefore we strongly recommend consulting with a doctor before playing with us.
Every individual participating in a Sport & Social Club program has the right to compete as a member of the gender that they identify with; regardless of their gender at birth and whether or not they have undergone any medical treatments. Example: If an individual identifies as a woman, she will count towards the minimum number of females her team is required to have on the playing surface at any given time. We are always looking for better ways to be inclusive and supportive, so if you have any suggestions/ideas, we'd love to hear from you! you can email our email@example.com, call us on the phone, or pop into our office and chat in person.
Double-Headers...How does that work?
Sometimes, we get an odd number of teams that signup to play. If this happens and we have the ability, we will schedule double-header games to make the season work. Not every team can play an extra game, so we choose teams at random to play the double-header. To keep it fair with win-loss records, the second game never counts for the team that is playing the double-header. It only counts for the team playing against them. This way, everyone will have a total of 7 games that will count towards their season record.
What happens during bad weather?
We're glad you asked! IF YOU DON'T HEAR FROM US, ASSUME THE GAME IS ON (because we're cool like that)! But, in the event of really bad weather we will try to notify a game cancelation to everyone by 4pm via email, Facebook, Twitter, and a message on our website. If we are forced to cancel a game close to game-time (within an hour), we will notify you all as listed above plus a phone chain. We will call every captain and they will then call their players. If we cannot reach a captain, we will continue to call members of that team until we reach a live talking body on the other end. We leave room in our calendar to make up 1 or 2 weeks if weather or other unforeseen conditions force us to cancel games. Once we reach this threshold of make up dates, we no longer have the opportunity to play those games. Although we will do everything possible to make sure games are played, we run in to rare instances when it is not possible. Refunds will be made based on these instances in the form of site credit.
How do you handle tiebreakers?
In the case of a win-loss record tie between 2 or more teams, the winner is determined in the following order: 1. Head to head, 2. Team with less points scored against, and 3. team with higher point scored differential.
Does my Sub have to wear my game shirt?
No. Subs do not wear a SSC shirt, but rather a shirt similar in color to your team. The Sub must check in with a SSC staff member before playing to receive a SSC wrist band for the night. We have a nifty "Find a Sub" feature on our new site. This helps teams find a sub quickly in a pinch while offering current season players a chance to try out new sports!
How/when does my team select a shirt color?
After your team is complete (meeting the full team requirements), the entire team will get a site notification that the captain can now log in and choose a shirt color for his/her team. The captain can continue swapping out different color choices up until the league registration closes. Once closed, it's locked, so be sure to get your team secured so you can get your team's favorite color! "Free Agents" and "Partial Teams" will be merged at the close of registration and a random but awesome shirt color will be selected for your new team per our Social Squad.
Can we use Substitutes (subs)?
Yes. You can bring on a friend to sub for a missing player, but the sub MUST be actually substituting for another missing paid player. Your sub must check in with a SSC staff person before playing. Failure to do this may result in that sub not playing at all and/or a delay of game. Check out our nifty sub feature online as well. We hope you enjoy the new feature!
Do you offer refunds?
No if you registered a "Full Team". This is also clearly stated in the pop-up modal that explains this in red before you hit 'accept' and move to the next page to pay and set up your team. The reasoning is two-fold. First, a full-team registration is discounted from the standard rate per player and we don't charge a transation fee like we do with the Free Agent and Partial Team options; and second, we hold a team spot for you, guaranteeing your team in the league and allowing you to select your team shirt color imediately, so it's really unfair and difficult for us to plan if we have full-teams dropping last minute. So with all this said, be sure you are 100% sure you can fill your team before selecting this option. If you are not, you can always signup as a "Partial Team" and still add enough players to complete your team. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have relaxed this policy. As of now, for any programs that are cut short or otherwise cannot be played due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be issuing SSC credits to all affected participants to make them whole. Together, we will get through this and we will get back to playing as soon as we can safely do so. Thank you for all your support.
Yes, if you registered as a Free Agent or a Partial Team, we offer refunds in the form of site credits up until the registration deadline. Players can issue their own refund from their transactions page from their dashboard. Sorry, no refunds will be issued after registration closes. Registration will close either on the deadline date or if the league reaches capacity, whichever comes first.
Will you add other players to our "full/completed" team?
No, unless you allow us. Please keep in mind that we have the right to add players to partial teams, but if you are a completed team, meeting the minimums of players/females, then we won't randomly add players without asking first. As a completed team, it's your right to say no, but please try to be understanding if we have to find a home for a player or two.
I'm signing up a full team, I've registered with my team name, but not all of my team has registered yet, is my team secured/complete?
Nope! Your team is only secured/complete once ALL of your teammates have successfully registered on your team and paid in full, thus meeting the minimum players needed to qualify as a completed team. If the roster has filled and/or closed before they had a chance to signup, SSC will combine your partial team with another, making a full one. So, please make sure you and your teammates are ready to signup together so no one get's left behind.
SSC's registration is first come first served system, so this means that once they hit their cap of players registered (combination of captains, team players, and free agents) the registration will close automatically. If this happens when your team is still considered partial and "non-secured", then your partial team will be merged and/or moved to/with another partial team, at the sole discretion of the SSC. Partial, "non-secured" teams also are subject to having Free Agents placed on it. SSC will be as fair as possible, but once the registration is closed, no new players will be added, no paid players can be moved to another team, and refunds will not be issued. So, the bottom line is: Be sure to get all your friends signed up and paid before it's too late. Be sure to consistently check your team roster to ensure everyone you want is on your team (It's your captain's fault if you leave a friend behind!) and that you made it onto the right team. Also, captains, be sure to secure your team with the right amount of players, otherwise SSC will do the filling!"
I don't have a full team, but can I still signup to be on a team on my own or with my friend (s)?
Yes you can! If on your own, just register as a "Free Agent" and then you can start requesting to join teams. If you want to stick with a friend or three, simply signup as a "Partial Team" and have your friends all sign up under that team.
Free Agents, how does that work?
Unlike other rec leagues, we take individuals looking to get social and make friends. Once you register as a free agent, you can see all the teams in your league, allowing you to send requests to join the ones you want. Also, captains have the ability to send you invites to join their team, so spruce up your profile because people are looking! If you don't find a team to join, not to worry, we will do the heavy lifting and place you on a fun team after registration closes.
What's all included with my registration fee?

+ 7 weeks of coed league playing bliss

+ Meet friends by the hundreds
+ Awards party night
+ Exclusive food and drink specials at our partner bars
